DECKER COMPOSITE DECKING – great in NSW coastal locations
NORTHERN RIVERS REGION
The Northern Rivers region of NSW, close to the Queensland border in north coast NSW, has grown up around the Bryon Bay alternative lifestyle community and the inland agriculture around Casino and Lismore.
The region has no official status, although NSW government departments and local governments in the area work together for purposes such as tourism, education, water catchment management and waste management.
The Northern Rivers refers to the valleys and catchment areas of the Clarence, Richmond and Tweed Rivers.
|LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS OF REGION||Area||Population|
|Lismore, City of||1,290||43,135|
|Richmond Valley Council||3,051||22,807|
|TOWNS OF THE REGION||Population|
|2016 census||5yr Growth|
The towns of Byron Bay and Casino had populations of just less than 10,000 at the 2016 Census. Tweed Heads, a town in the Tweed Shire, is usually grouped with the Gold Coast, especially Coolangatta , when referred to as a region despite its location south of the Queensland boarder.
The Northern Rivers area has a mild, sub-tropical climate.
Major industries are agriculture, fisheries, public services (particularly health) and tourism;
As an alternative lifestyle centre, the region is also popular for niche crops, hobby farmers, and retirees from life in the larger cities.
MAP OF NORTHERN RIVERS AREA
Composite decking’s main advantage is low maintenance ; no more annual oiling, staining or painting required unlike timber decks.
Many people, particularly retirees, turn to Composite Decking because of this, whether for a replacement or new deck. Having experienced the timber maintenance regime, a smart choice is to pay a little more upfront and relax.
DECKER’s composite decking is solid and rated for 450mm ( 18 inch) joist spacings, so replacing the timber decking is easy and does not require any change to the existing sub-structure – both easy and economical.
We would like to help you plan and build a beautiful outdoor living space.
