EASY TO INSTALL COMPOSITE DECKING

INSTALLATION GUIDE

It is strongly recommended that you thoroughly review the relevant Installation Guides prior to finalising your quantities and starting to install your composite decking from DECKER.

Failure to follow the Installation Guidelines may void the warranty.

If you are a householder and contracting a builder or carpenter for your installation, then ensure your contractor is advised that they must follow the Installation Guidelines.

Please note that if you have other building works happening on site at the same time, lime dust, concrete and other building products may damage your boards.  It is recommended you leave the decking installation as the final task, or provide significant protection.

If you have any queries at all, please contact us BEFORE YOU START your project.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE

Our Care and Maintenance Guide sets out best practice for cleaning and maintaining your DECKER decking so it looks good after installation.

WARRANTY

We offer a Limited Warranty for a period of 15 years in respect of Residential decks, which is available for download below.

The explicit details of the Decker Warranty are important, and customers and prospective customers are advised to review our Warranty.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Our decking has been tested to ensure compliance with the National Construction Code requirements in respect of residential decks.

The main requirements are in respect of load bearing as it relates to maximum joist spacing. Loads are assessed based upon Uniform Actions and Concentrated Actions. Our decking at 450mm maximum joist spacing meets these requirements.

Other relevant properties which impact on the installation and use of residential decks are Slip Rating and Co-Efficient of Linear Expansion.

When it comes to fire requirements our decking has not been tested under AS1530.8 to achieve a BAL rating, and is therefore not to be installed where construction requirements impose a BAL rating in excess of 12.5.
